Anand leaps ahead developing community facilities

Sudhir-Sharma3-300x20014 August Parwanoo, : Shri Sudhir Sharma, Hon’ble Minister, Urban Development, TCP and Housing, inaugurated the Anand Municipal Park and Sports Complex in Parwanoo. The development of the Municipal Park and Sports Complex has been undertaken by Anand, India’s leading auto component manufacturer.

The occasion saw the presence of Mrs. Daisy Thakur, President Municipal Council ; Mr. K. C Anand, Member Deep C Foundation; Mr. Hardeep Singh Bawa, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board; Mr Ramneek Jain, COO, Mahle Filter Systems India and Mr. Puneet Gupta, Anand Hub Leader, Parwanoo.

In pursuit of its corporate social responsibility, Anand has been actively supporting social initiatives in collaboration with the SNS Foundation, CSR wing of Anand. SNS Foundation has invested approximately INR 60 lakh towards the development of environmental friendly complex. This initiative is a testimony to the group’s commitment towards sustainable development. Anand is committed to such social activities not only at Parwanoo but across all its 50 locations in 9 states.

The Anand Municipal Park and Sports Complex is located in the centre of the city that will serve as a recreational spot for children and general public.

Initiated in March 2011, Anand will continue to upkeep this complex in its vow to preserve social and environmental aspects that are relevant to everyone and to future generations. The company in association with SNS Foundation undertakes various initiatives in the areas of educational and vocational training & healthcare programmes.

Anand was stalwart in bringing industry to Himachal Pradesh and co-developed the place in the early 70’s with its manufacturing facilities Purolator India Limited now known as Mahle Filter Systems (India) Limited and Gabriel India Limited. Currently Anand is also running a graduate education program at Shoolini University for its Operating Engineers.
